Where the World Stands: A Government Leaders’ Panel on the PQC Transition
· 15:30 – 16:15 Amsterdam time · Red hall
A digital economy runs on trust, and that trust runs on cryptography. The signatures, certificates, and encrypted channels that underpin banking, identity, commerce, and communication are invisible until they fail — and the quantum threat puts all of them in question at once. The exposure is often discussed in geopolitical terms, but the consequences are economic and societal: markets, supply chains, public services, and the everyday transactions that modern life depends on. This is not a problem governments can solve alone. And it is not one organizations can afford to defer.
This panel brings together senior representatives from national cybersecurity agencies and government PQC programmes to share where their programmes stand, what they are seeing in the market, and what they expect ahead. Are migration timelines holding — or are they moving? That is the question every leadership team will be asking, and this panel offers a unique opportunity to hear how governments are thinking about it.
There will be plenty of room for questions and interaction with the panellists.
