Airbus Digital Trust Solutions

With its organizational unit Airbus Digital Trust Solutions (ADTS) fully dedicated to providing cryptographic services, Airbus operates its own public key infrastructure, key management system, as well as other cryptography solutions. At ADTS, we enable digital trust and security for Airbus from its employees to customers, and from devices to aircraft security.

Mario Schiener

Digital Trust Solutions and Cybersecurity Architect

Mario Schiener studied mathematics and computer science. He specialized in algorithmic number theory and elliptic curves and holds a bachelor and a master degree from the University of Bayreuth in Germany. Mario has been working for Airbus since 2016 and held various cybersecurity positions, including software development, system engineering and architecture, as well as team leadership roles. Cryptography has been a constant throughout all projects Mario has been involved in, ranging from smartcard programming over PKI and its applications such as S/MIME encryption solutions to post quantum cryptography. Mario joined the team of Airbus Digital Trust Solutions in 2021 and is currently focusing on preparing Airbus for post quantum cryptography.

Ashraf Al Shalabi

Ashraf Al Shalabi is a seasoned professional with more than 7 years of experience in cybersecurity and infrastructure design.

His academic background includes a degree in Business Informatics. He is currently a solution architect for Airbus Corporate PKI.
