SUMMARY:Leveraging Agentic AI for Automated CBOM Inventory and Crypto-Agili
 ty
DESCRIPTION:Extracting Cryptographic Bill of Materials (CBOMs) from source
code is a foundational pillar of the Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) transi
tion. However\, traditional security scanning methods fall short.\n\nThe li
mitations of SAST and vulnerability tools include limited support for legac
y or proprietary languages where old cryptography often hides\; the high fr
iction and overhead of deep Abstract Syntax Tree analysis\, which is comput
ationally heavy and slows down CI/CD pipelines\; scaling bottlenecks from h
eavy reliance on DevSecOps teams for onboarding and configuration\; and a s
tatic\, reactive posture that identifies risks but does not facilitate acti
ve crypto-agility.\n\nIntegrating agentic AI into CI/CD pipelines via the M
odel Context Protocol introduces a scalable and code-agnostic approach to C
BOM management. Beyond inventory\, agentic AI enables true crypto-agility i
n pipelines\, verifying pull requests and even fixing obsolete cryptography
