SUMMARY:Role of CBOM in a Telco's PQC Journey
DESCRIPTION:This presentation on behalf of the GSMA PQTN task force will ex
 amine the role of a "Cryptographic Bill of Materials" in the telecommunicat
 ion sector. The session will explore CBOM and its relationship to the Softw
 are Bill of Materials (SBOM)\, review the current standards landscape\, ide
 ntify telecommunications-specific use cases\, and outline the regulatory dr
 ivers shaping adoption.\n\nThe need for industry alignment on CBOM use\, fo
 rmat\, and content as a means to simplify the management and communication 
 of cryptography between parties will be highlighted. This "CBOM profile" wi
 ll provide telco operators with a structured way to express cryptographic r
 equirements\, plan the migration to post-quantum cryptography\, and manage 
 cryptographic assets across their lifecycle\, while giving vendors the mech
 anisms to communicate the cryptographic assets and future roadmap commitmen
 ts associated with their products and services to operators and other stake
 holders. The session concludes with actionable recommendations for telco ne
 twork operators\, vendors\, and other relevant stakeholders engaged in the 
 transition to post-quantum cryptography.\n\nThe presentation will be of int
 erest to network operators\, the entire telecommunications supply chain\, a
 nd government regulators. It complements other standardization and industry
