SUMMARY:Roundtable: Government PQC Guidance and Regulation — Where We Are
  and Where We're Going
DESCRIPTION:More than 30 national governments have now published guidance o
n post-quantum cryptography\, ranging from two-page memos to migration hand
books running to hundreds of pages. Sector regulators then translate that g
uidance for the industries they oversee\, and their approaches vary widely:
informal supervisory dialogue\, procurement requirements\, convening and c
oordination\, funded research programs\, and formal mandates under financia
l-sector legislation.\n\nThis roundtable brings together government agencie
s\, sector regulators\, standards bodies\, and the organizations that must
implement their guidance for a working discussion rather than a series of p
resentations. After a short introduction from the moderator\, participants
will compare approaches across the Americas\, Europe\, the Middle East and
Africa\, and Asia-Pacific: what the advantages and disadvantages of each mo
del are\, which approaches are working in practice\, and where the gaps in
global guidance lie.\n\nThe discussion will give particular attention to wh
at organizations operating across borders need from governments and regulat
ors to keep their migrations aligned\, and to what good practice in PQC gui
dance looks like.\n\nThe main conclusions will feed into a brief recap duri
ng the conference's closing session.\n\nSpeakers: Zygmunt Lozinski
