SUMMARY:Roundtable: Securing Transportation for the Quantum Era
DESCRIPTION:Aircraft\, rolling stock\, vehicles\, and vessels stay in servi
ce for decades\, so the cryptography designed into them today must hold wel
l into the quantum era. Transportation systems also depend on long and comp
lex supply chains: tier-one suppliers\, chip vendors\, onboard and backend
PKI\, charging and ground infrastructure\, and standards set by many differ
ent bodies. Industry and regulators are now beginning to set expectations f
or the post-quantum transition. The open question is how to plan migrations
for systems that cannot simply be patched.\n\nThis roundtable brings toget
 her people from aviation\, rail\, automotive\, mobility\, shipping\, and EV
charging for a working discussion rather than a series of presentations. A
fter a short introduction from the moderator\, participants will compare wh
ere their organizations are starting in practice: cryptographic inventory a
cross fleets and onboard systems\, in-vehicle and onboard PKI\, V2X and cha
 rging infrastructure\, over-the-air and software updates\, and the long-liv
ed assets that will outlive today's algorithms.\n\nThe discussion will give
particular attention to the dependencies no single operator or manufacture
r can resolve alone\, from suppliers and chip vendors to certification and
the timing of standards\, and to what the sector needs from regulators to k
eep migration aligned across borders.\n\nThe main conclusions will feed int
o a brief recap during the conference's closing session.\n\nSpeakers: Nina
