SUMMARY:Securing the Internet of Things for the Quantum Era
DESCRIPTION:The rapid growth of the IoT has transformed critical sectors su
 ch as healthcare\, transportation\, manufacturing\, energy\, and smart citi
es. However\, IoT security is deeply dependent on public key infrastructure
 s (PKI) for device identity\, authentication\, certificate management\, sec
ure onboarding\, key establishment\, and firmware validation. The emergence
of quantum computing threatens many of the public-key algorithms underpinn
ing today's PKI\, creating a long-term security risk for IoT deployments wi
th constrained resources and long operational lifetimes.\n\nThis talk focus
es on the transition of IoT PKI towards PQC. It examines the implications o
 f PQC for certificates\, certificate chains\, device provisioning\, authent
ication protocols\, secure updates\, and lifecycle management at scale. Par
ticular attention is given to the practical challenges of deploying larger
post-quantum keys and signatures on constrained IoT devices and bandwidth-l
imited networks. The talk also covers hybrid certificates\, crypto-agile PK
I architectures\, migration strategies\, and interoperability with existing
  IoT security standards.\n\n\nSpeakers: Shahid Raza
