SUMMARY:Prioritising Financial Sector Use-Cases for Migration
DESCRIPTION:The intricate web of interbank communications\, transaction pro
tocols\, and shared infrastructure means no single financial institution ca
n effectively navigate a successful Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) migrati
on alone. The Quantum Safe Financial Forum (QSFF) was launched by Europol i
n 2024 and quickly established itself as the go-to authority for financial
institutions grappling with the complexities of quantum-safe migration. The
forum comprises experts from leading commercial banks\, central banks\, re
gulators and other financial entities.\n\nA dedicated Working Group within
QSFF is actively developing an aligned roadmap: precisely defining the scop
e of each "use-case" for PQC implementation\, establishing criteria for eva
luating and prioritizing those use-cases\, linking business contexts to the
CIA triad\, identifying concrete milestones\, and balancing dependencies t
o ensure a synchronized rollout.\n\nThis talk provides an overview of the W
orking Group's structure\, its deliverables to date\, planned next steps\,
and practical ways in which the audience can contribute to this vital initi
 ative.\n\n\nSpeakers: Sarah McCarthy\, Sudha Iyer
